ILU ILU Corn

That means I just love corn - in any form, any dish possible. I always get irritated when it takes time to peel the corn cob before eating.

I had liked The corn club on FC road, but it was a little far away for me. So, when I saw a similar one opening in our area, I was excited like a little girl.

After corn club, its now "Corn Meadow" that has caught my attention. Its new joint opened in Karvenagar, Pune. And as soon it  has opened I have tried it out. Although its the usual menu offered, corn wrap was good, corn cheese balls could have been better, but cup corn should have been more of sweet corn that the usual one.
Anyway, I was delighted as usual, and surely I will be visiting there again soon.....

It was a happy Dusshera...!

The Jatra at Durga devi temple in our area, reminded my of my childhood days back in Nashik.

The huge festive merry-go-rounds, those innumerable food stalls the famous pethaas direct from Agra, those games and magic shows that used to be there, I was always in awe when I went to the Jatra..

However I cannot possibly go to the jatra in our area, I am not sure it will yeild the same effect on me now, given that the whole idea of the jatra has changed, I believe, it has become more business and timepass that the sheer  delight  it used to give us.

Either way, Jatra is still there and I hope it will be the reason for joy to one and all....

The art of rain.....

The rainy season is here now... and it seems that it is on time this year...well atleast for now...They may be the pre-monsoon showers, and actually the season is still a little away, but they did offer the much awaited relief from the scrotching heat.

With rains, come the bhajiyas, cup of hot tea and such delights...Its hardly anyone who cannot love them.... Just as I love the tea, i am equally mesmerized by the lovely rains

So here's a little poem for the rains.....
Falling Down, pooling up,
Out of the sky, into my cup.

What is this wet that comes from above,
That some call disaster, and others find love.

The harder it falls, the less it is nice,
The colder it falls the harder the ice.

The rain has an art that I may not get,
So I stand still here and get soaking wet.

Dhinka chika......!

Shreya and I

It's now one week that the awesome - twosome (that's me and Shreya) are on our own-Mukul goes to office, Shreya's grandparents are away, that leaves two of us whole day- playing, scolding, keeping an eye on miss chulbuli, doing household chores together, watching tv, teach her play with toys, watching her peculiar traits - is the only stuff we do.

It's really amazing how time flies....

What to and what not to....

I don' have a topic today.

I was thinking what should one write on a blog and what should not.....

Do you need to be politically correct or should you write what you really think about things???

Do you be pessimistic or optimistic in your writing? Do you write about yourself or about others?? What is the best time of the day to write - first thing in the morning with a fresh mind or at end of the day when things have happened?

Oh so many confusing questions.....

Take the example of Neil Pasricha. He's just 2 odd years into blogging - 1000awesomethings.com - the simple idea of writing about 1 awesome thing everyday has made his site a hot commodity today and even won him prestigious awards and book on the same is a bestseller.

How simple is that?????
